Meet our new member: Charlotte Jackson. Charlotte was born in Hutchinson, Kansas, and graduated from Phillips University with a dual degree in history and political science. She has a Master’s Degree from Stanford, and two professional degrees from The American College.
A retired financial and estate planner, she has been president of and on the boards of numerous professional and community organizations, from the local to the national level, and has lobbied at the California Legislature and before our Representatives and Senators in Washington, D.C. For many years, she has meditated and currently leads two meditation groups. In addition, she is a volunteer in the hospice unit at the VA Hospital in Palo Alto.
Charlotte has come to First Baptist through Christian experience and will be sharing her time and talents with us and the First Christian Church in San Jose. She has a passion for mission, especially with the issue of human trafficking.
She has traveled in 49 of the 50 states and several foreign countries, including the Congo. Other than traveling, she enjoys reading, crossword puzzles, hiking, ballet, opera, symphony, fireworks, the circus, the rodeo, and getting together with friends.
