Praying With the People

Our Joys and Concerns for this week include:

  • Birthday blessings for Paul Tuan (December 13) and Juve Ramirez (December 18)
  • For Dick and Lorraine Barry as they celebrate their 75th wedding anniversary
  • Melanie Ramirez for the great experience she and Daniel had volunteering at EHP the Sunday before Thanksgiving; for all the good work EHP does
  • Kathy Gillam for a good time visiting daughter, Julia and husband, Micah
  • Paul Berry for their family tradition of forgoing the “compulsory comfort” of the season by giving gifts that are only donations, free, or handmade, freeing them to enjoy the season without consumer pressure
  • Melanie for Elizabeth Ramirez and family as they continue to mourn the death of her father in Mexico
  • Kathy for our country for an end to polarization and a return of values
  • Carolyn Shepard for refugees and immigrants, especially those detained in ICE centers
  • Nana Spiridon for the administration’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel with all the turmoil that is causing in the Middle East
  • For Ron Tuttle recovering at home from a surgical procedure and for Thelma as she cares for him
  • For all those affected by the fires in southern California
  • For peace for the people of Syria, Yemen and Myanmar
  • For all those affected by sexual harassment and abuse; for a basic change in our understanding of these concerns
  • For God’s guidance and empowerment as we move forward the Mosaic South Bay
